After her recent visit to The Gambia, our CEO and Founder, Ruth Ibegbuna, was inspired by a group of young women producing herbal tea at the Inspiring Young Stars (IYS) Sustainability Centre. There, they are producing vibrant, organic herbal teas, and we’re committed to helping them share their products more widely, ensuring that every penny of profit goes back to them.

This is their story:

Our hub is a beacon for environmental stewardship, renewable energy, education, and community enterprise, featuring a rooftop garden, food processing unit, and training facilities.

Young women from the community process the tea, starting with harvesting, cleaning, and solar-powered drying to preserve flavour and nutrients. The herbs are then ground, blended, and hand-packed into eco-friendly bags.

We use organically grown herbs from our rooftop garden and collaborate with three community-based organic gardeners. We offer natural Gambian herbal teas, including Moringa, Mint, Mborr Mborr, and Hibiscus.

100% of the profits go to the Inspiring Young Stars centre.
